Harvest Brewing Competition Announcement

 

By the grace of our Lord and good King Henry, the seasons turn, the barley and grapes have grown, and the bees and people have busied themselves all through the long heat of summer.  Now cooler breezes beckon us to gather homewards to our fair Barony of Oldenfeld to greet our family and friends as we partake in the bounty of the harvest.  

 

In due time has fallen the work of the harvesting, the threshing, the pressing, the malting, the mashing, the spargeing, the fermenting, the racking, the clarifying, and the kegging.  

 

Mark well these words, good folk: as surely as we sow and harvest, so doth our good king Henry require his due share of all our bounty.

 

Therefore, it is meet that we must sample our products and ensure that they are good enough for the king. After we have finished reveling… ahem… tasting, we will measure out the King’s portion of what remains.

 

Please bring forth all your best, as it is only meet that the outstanding efforts of our local brewers should be recognized and rewarded.

One entry per person per category; at the judges’ discretion, categories may be added or combined.

No distilled or fortified beverages.

All entries must be received by noon.
